Caller: A computer

This is a typical robocall tactic, a computer random dials numbers. If you answer & say "hello" the computer registers that it is a legit phone number then flags you for a call from a real person later. The best tactic is when you get a call from a number you do not know, answer but don't speak. The computer will think your something other than a real number and discard you from follow up. If it is a real caller let them speak first.

They ring and never he message we have on the phone or even leave a message!!!! Useless people.

(02) 8053 9506 called this morning, picked up without answering & line hung up. Called back from a diff no. Robocall message from male aussie voice,,,,'sorry we can't take you call, you have called once of Australia's leading charity funds'..blah blah... this is a SCAM and they often mass call every couple of week.... follow Peter's advise from Jan 22 post - pick up phone & DON"T ANSWER, just listen.... if you can't block then the system will think you're not a genuine landline & potentially miss you number in the auto dialler.

There's been a recent flood of these nuisance calls. I screen all calls and so never answer calls from the scamming pests who of course never leave a message, but I'm fed up to the back teeth with all the calls. I keep blocking the numbers that they use but my phone will only store 30 blocked numbers, so I keep having to unblock some in order to block the new ones. SICK OF IT! Please don't answer these calls.

Nuisance calls I think - Spam. I don't answer anymore. Sick of them ringing me all the time and I block them.

They called 4/3, 8/3 and 9/3/21 so it went straight to my answering machine which doesn't have a message on it. Scammers generally try 3 or 4 times then give up. Caller ID is so worth having.

Getting HUGE number of these 02 calls. Never anyone on the line. Hoping not attached to the HUGE number of scam emails we have been getting around the same time. I block after checking of this great site. Saves a lot of worrying questions.
