Scam - advising ATO has legal proceedings against me... RIGHT.....

called my father in law who was in hospital saying he is a thief and the police were coming to arrest him. He was so distraught, very upsetting what these people do.

same number advising me ATO has legal proceedings against me and if I don't call them back they have no choice but to... etc etc... Whatevs...

Caller: Sydney somewhere

Scam saying there were lawsuits filed against me, I needed to call them back and that if I don't respond they will have to file an arrest warrant and I will be arrested.

Said they were issuing an arrest warrant if I didn’t return the call. Computer generated voice

same thing an auto generated message saying its from ATO legal proceeding against me. scam

Recorded message advising that ATO has legal proceedings being made against me. And they want you to call back immediately.

Caller: Said it was ATO

got a call today and was a recorded message when I answered saying it was the ATO and there was law suit against me. I hung up. Tried to call back and cut out.

I just received a call from that number claiming to be the ATO too

This number call me saying they were from ATO and I must called them back as a report has been loged against me for breaking the law!!

Pretending to be calling from ATO

It went to message bank and outlined I needed to get back to them as there was a law suit being filed against me and if I didn't respond I would be arrested. It's a scam is my guess as it was an automated message with an American accent.

it was recorded call and he mention that this call from ATO.

Said if I didn’t call back an immediate warrant for my arrest will be issued

Caller: robo voice

a computer generated voice started speaking about the tax department and a lawsuit... i immediately hung up

I called back number (02) 8011 3040 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.

Called to advise me they had a NSW Grants Department grant of $5,000 for me. Obviously a scam as I live in WA. Hung up once I tried to explore the scam.
