Claiming to be tax department. Obviously scam.

Recorded message said there was an AFP warrant for an unpaid tax bill.
Reported it to ATO who said neither AFP or ATO cold call and there is always correspondence to try to resolve matters before any such warrants would be issued

This is now a legitimate business number. I pity the business as it has been allocated a number previously used for ATO scams.

Robotic generated voice message left claiming to be the ATO. Advised of potential arrest by AFP due to outstanding tax debt. 100% SCAM. I previously worked for the ATO and First point of contact is ALWAYS via the post. Such an intimidating approach to (even genuine) debt collection would never be undertaken (i.e. threats of AFP arrest). IGNORE.

Same comments as Brian above. My Mum went to the Police. Apparently they're targeting the Runaway Bay (Gold Coast) area at the moment.

Automated message posing as ATO - When called back answers as ATO, gives ATO Sydney address.
Message states AFP is pursuing you and will attempt to SCAM money.
Any Doubt immediately contact ATO on their listed numbers

False message from the ATO claiming to have a warrant for arrest.

Recorded message telling me a complaint was about me was made to ATO and a warrant will be issued. Said to call back and do not ignore the call. Could tell it was scam right away.

Same here, recorded message saying AFP/ATO warrant for arrest due to tax, even mentioned a case number and to call the (02) 8006 7570 clearly a scam

Computer produced voice message claiming legal case initiated against name. Sounds like a scam.
