Said they were from the ATO and I was under investigation for fraud. But I check my ATO MyGov account regularly and there has been no messages listed there for me. So I am aware this has to be a scam because this is the ATO's preferred method of contact.

Caller: Some indian guy claiming to be from the ATO.

I received a call from this number and they left a message for me to call them. I then returned the call directly to the number and the guy answered saying he was from the ATO and that he needed to check my file. He then asked for my postcode to confirm they were speaking to the correct person. When I said can they confirm the first part of my address he hung up on me.

voicemail message left from automated voice stating under investigation for fraud family contacted but no answer please call back immediately . rang the number on my landline rings twice cuts -off trIed 2 times same 3rd time redirected overseas get a woman with strong indian accent couldn't understand her so hung up . SCAM !

Another scam caller (recorded message) pretending to be from the ATO. This one was a male voice with an Australian accent, talking in a robotic monotone. Message started partway through so if he said a name at the start I didn't catch it. The usual threatening that a lawsuit had been filed under my name and giving the number to call back on "for more information".

A recorded voice said that I had a suit filed under my name and I should call their Department on (02) 8006 0279 for more details. (I didn't.)

Just a recored msg what a scam

claimed they were from the ATO and investigating me and my family for fraud and that a law suits has been filed against me.
I know this is a scam as I pay all tax regularly as compiled by my accountant and would NEVER attempt to defraud the ATO. Any problems'and the ATO would contact my accountant and not my mobile.
I have had other similar calls . Why dont these scum get a proper job and pay TAX

Called me today, I rejected the call so they left voice message saying that they are from ATO and I am under investigation. Bullsh*t.

I was threatened about not paying tax with my family yet I have no family. And the caller was unonymous.i thought it was a fraud for how the guy was speaking in hurry.

This recorded message from "the ATO" was to my work mobile number, which I have never given to anyone outside of work - the only phone number I have given out to the ATO would be my personal mobile number. I didn't even bother to listen to it all, I just hung up. Who has time for this crap?

THIS NUMBER IS FROM A SCAMMER. I received a call from a computer generated female voice claiming to be from the ATO Legal Department, to advise that an arrest warrant had been issued for "tax evasion and fraud". The instruction is then to phone (or have "your lawyer" phone) the number (03) 9013 4062
This is now fourth such call in the past week

They are scammers .
If you call them try and get there adress before for the handler get to her .
Just need the town next .

Advised i owed money due to Fraud. Called back and they advised they couldn't give me more details until i gave them my name and number and the time they called. No personal details given.

they left a voice recorded message saying nonsense about i am under investigation etc. blocked their number, but they rang back after a few days using different number and left same exact recorded message. this is endless and very annoying

Literally just had the exact same call. I too have logged into myGov and had no new messages. Assuming it’s a scam.
