Has to be a scam.

Got a call from this number, answered it, recorded message played in the background, pretending to be from Amazon. Rang the number back, a guy answered saying "Hello, you have reached Amazon." I then asked "Hi, I got a call from this number". The guy immediately hung up the phone.

I got a call from this number saying they were from Google Amazon and that my Amazon account was to be charged $150. Thinking it was a hoax call I hung up. I rang the number back to see if they would answer. They did but didn’t announce themselves. I asked who they were and he said Amazon support. I started telling him about the previous call and the $150 charge and he hung up.

Caller: Someone saying they were from Amazon

They were saying they were from Amazon and that they needed to link my mobile so they could send me a form to fill out because my account would be charged for 1 $150 gift card charge. I never ordered a gift card from Amazon. I did recently purchase something but not a gift card. When I pressed the man for more details he hung up.

Caller: *Scam*Amazon gift card

Automated phone call telling my my Amazon account will be debited $713

Caller: someone claiming it was Amazon and I would be debited 150 dollars

Hung up

I rang back the number (02) 8005 0553 once but got disconnected
