I called back number (02) 8004 7887 rang 3 times then goes to busy tone.

Is this phone number linked to a scammer?

Received a call from this number and when I answered they hung up. Called straight back and a recorded message says "the number is unavailable right now, please call back later" I get a call from this number nearly every day with same results.

Scam being run caller claims to be from Australian Accident Management Authority, don't get sucked in.

Answered, they started straight in with the car accident scam thing - figured I'd have some fun and baited them for near 5 minutes.

Ended up giving the game away by saying "Is this involving the accident I had with the tour bus full of Nigerian nuns on holiday or the one where I drove the truck through the front doors of the local orphanage?".

They hung up...

Spam call - knew my name and asked if I had been in a car accident, wth! I said no and she hung up straight away.

I get 5 calls a day from this number. As soon as I pick up they hang up. And when I call back they do not answer. Extremely annoying
