(02) 8000 8533 called but I didn’t answer, thanks to this site it was identified as a scam call - thanks everyone for reporting this number

This number claimed to be Alan from Telstra NBN Tech Support. He called regarding my internet speeds, and then attempted to get me to divulge my IP addresses of multiple devices and click links because they were “Unsecure and at risk”
Very convincing considering I am actually having issues with Telstra and NBN speeds. However still 99% sure he was trying to scam me!

Also called on 0420 040 344 and 0420 040 255.

Some pretending to be from Telstra called. They said that someone is trying to access my NBN network and they want to fix it for me. They attempted to get personal information from me.

calling about my internet connection - that another IP address has access my internet connection - and taken my information. I said that was not possible and that this was a scam. I said he was lying to me. He persisted - wanted to give me the address of telstra in melbourne - but could not pronounce the name of the street - finally spelt it - then gave me a number to call - 085231927420...finally I said that was not australian number and this is a scam - hung up - so annoying

Tried to get me to download the app 'any desk' to get remote access of my laptop and banking. Kept them on the phone for over an hour. I enjoyed it haha

Indian call-centre claiming to be Telstra. She said my internet has been hacked by numerous people; my personal information was at risk etc. wanted me to check my modem and and go online so she could “show me” all the threats/risks on my internet connection. I hung up and rang number back - number is disconnected.
Definitely scammers 😡

If I receive a call from an “unknown number” as advised by my phone, I won’t answer it, it goes to message bank, if the caller really needs to talk to me, they can leave a message - no message - number blocked and deleted

I answered this number, but they hung up after 3 seconds. I blocked them.

THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE STOPPED BY OUR GOVERNMENT!!! We should have. Atsytem that detects calls from outside using OUR numbers THEY CALLED NE ON A SATURDAY MORNING DURING MY SLEEP IN THE LITTLE C%^*s 🤬🤬🤬

Indian or Pakistan sounding male pretended to be from Telstra NBN security. told them I neither have Telstra or NBN, but he was pushing that they are the security for all NBN, he still couldn't get it through his head that i don't have NBN.

Caller: "Amazon"

Had my name, email address and, obviously, phone number. Said he was calling from Amazon as someone had supposedly attempted to make a purchase through my account. Very persistent. Apparently they had put the transaction on hold so I told them to leave it that way. He then hung up

Asked if I was Mrs Such & Such - I said yes then claimed to be calling about my NBN account (it’s in my husbands name..) I then hung up & blocked the number..

Didnt identify himself correctly. Claimed he was from the NBN and that someone was using my internet connection illegally. Tried to get me to admit what phone i had and to go onto a browser to he could direct me to a site that would show me the errors and warnings. I said no thank you and hung up and he called back from this number (the original number was 0474 959 957) and said MAM GIVE ME A CHANCE TO SHOW YOU THE ERRORS and i hung up again. he was kind of shouting

Do people realise that the very ones who should be protecting us from these calls (the govt), are the very ones selling our information TO these scammers?

Caller: NBN Scam

Claimed was from NBN, said I was driving give me your number and I will phone back. Said I don't have a phone number. Asked me if I am at my computer he needs to access it .. DUH Scammer!! I said I am driving idiot!! He hung up.

Caller: They said they are amazon

He asked me if I purchased something through my Amazon account. I said no it’s not me. He said all he could see the order has been made by this phone number. Then I realised it’s a scam, they just want to get some information from you.

don't answer this number and bock and delete asap.
