Caller: "Carl Mendoza" from Strategy One

Mr Mendoza wanted to speak with me...luckily I have a personal assistant called David (also me) to screen calls. Mr Mendoza was very keen to speak with me and when I asked what it was in regards to, it was a "business proposal" that could only be delivered to me personally. My assistant (seriously, how good is having an assistant) asked when they last had contact with me (confusing, I know), and he gave the rough approximate dates between 2017 and 2019. David wasn't satisfied with this response, so he placed Mr Mendoza on hold for 17 minutes....Mr Mendoza then swore at David in Tagalog, then hung up. 0 Stars, would not recommend :)

They said they were from Telstra nbn then got really smug and nasty when I kept saying I’m not with Telstra please take me of the call list 🙄

Said they were from Telstra NBN and my Internet was running very slowly. They could fix it. Wanted me to download TeamViewer so they could access my internet but said they wouldn’t access my computer. I played along then gave them a gob full. Do not download anything from someone on a phone call. Indian accents

Dirty scamming trash bags who ring going " It is about your Amazon order".... ended there when i slammed them down with I have no Amazon you dirty scammers.
What's the bet this is a number provided by trash bag service provider who runs all the scams

Scam scam, rang landline back 2 minutes after phone call missed and it tells me Optus advises that this mobile number ( not landline) has been disconnected

Want to log into computer to fix NBN then they load a virus then charge money to remove said virus.

No message left, suspicious number so didn’t answer.

Caller: Supposedly from NBN Australia, but clearly a scam

Recorded message about NBN being disconnected for some vague reason. Advised to hold to be connected to a “technician”. I hung up.

Caller: Scam Call

Recorded message advising me that they were shutting down my NBN network connection as there are no services in the area. Press 1 to follow up.

Claiming my NBN was compromised. I then spoke with someone (knowing full well it is wrong because I don't have NBN) and after I questioned him a bit he got the sads and called me a motherf&*ker and hung up on me....

Recorded message left saying they were closing my bank account bc of suspicious activity. Scammers! Over them!, wish they’d get a real job!.

Missed a call from this number.

When I ran back I got a message saying "Optus advises the the number you called has been disconnected."

The Question is :- How can they be ringing from an invalid number?
