Claimed to be from Amazon telling me that someone in U.S. had placed an order on my account. Wanted me to download Anydesk. No way. Obvious scam. I don’t have an Amazon account.

One of 5 calls received over 3 hours from different mobiles, landlines and overseas numbers, all with the same recorded message

fairly slick and knew way too much for my liking
knew about some new equipment I had (reported to isp)

(02) 8000 2214 called my mobile. I didn't answer but called back from landline which I never answer anyway. The message said the number was disconnected. Scam!

I had a call from a variation on the above telephone number (‭(02) 8000 2214‬). I suspect they use very similar number each time. Didn’t answer and blocked the number.

Played with her for a little bit, keep these scammers on the line for as long as possible, the more time they spend with you the less time they can spend trying to rip off our young, our elderly, our unsuspecting friends, family and community. Indian Call center (Hindi/Urdu) spoken clearly in the background, sad a$$ excuse for humans I hope they’re haunted in their sleep.

person claiming to be from Department of Health following up after Covid vaccine. Had a really poor phone manner and was suspicious so told them I was terminating the call and blocked the contact

Claimed to be Telstra and that my home internet was going to be disconnected. Got really defensive when I asked to speak to her manager

Claiming my internet had been hacked!

Answered very suspiciously, tried to tell me my Telstra internet connection had attempts at hacking recently lol so anything I searched could be hacked into.

Caller: "Amazon"

"You have paid $700..." crap. Don't even have Amazon account.

Caller: Amazon

Yep, Amazon. I never pick up calls from numbers I don't recognise. A short voicemail was left which was some recorded message about Amazon ...

Scam caller needs to be shut down.

Caller: “Telstra Scam”

Claimed to be from Telstra that people were accessing my internet and I needed to find and block them. I hung up on them

Caller: Claimed to be from fraud department bank of Australia

Tried to ask questions about bank details hung up

They said Amazon, but it seems a fraud to me

Tried to call back. Wouldn’t connect. Had many calls from random numbers today that didn’t pick up so all spam.
