I have "Guardian" phone, stops all scammers coming through, only calls you get are from people on your friends list. check the phone every night for calls that Guardian intercepted, and yes the list was long and full of scammers Everyone should have this type of phone then the scammers will be out of a job..

Everyone should get the "Gaurdian" phone from Telstra, i if a person ring Guardian answers, if they give their name the phone will ring to ask you if you want to accept the call, if no name then the phone will not ring. only people that get you are the names on your Call list of friends. I check nightly for all calls that attempted to ring, and yes they were all scammers. and block all at the same time. pity it does not happen on the mobile phones too.

I get 8 calls a day from (02) numbers and generally refuse them, but every time I have tried to answer there is silence and the call disconnects

The operator is pre-recorded. Scam. Fake charity.

A bot makes the call & if you answer they send the call to a live operator. If no operator is available it just drops the call. make sure you answer & listen to their dribble and keep them on the line as long as you can just to waste their time. This could be the most genuine charity ever but they have a 0% chance of getting money because of all the scam callers.

calls at least 3 times a day and hangs up when i answer with answering machine.
