Received a call from this number at just after 3pm. Was immediately flagged as a potential scam call, so I used the AI call screening feature on my phone then viewed the transcript of the recorded message that the caller left which made me laugh at the stupidity:
"We have contacted you many times but can't contact you.
You have an urgent document notification or detail press once for English press 2 for Chinese are Dania, hundrip or meant 17 England team.
Notice from the australian immigration bureau we have contact you many times but can't"

Laughing at these scammers. I mean has anybody actually ever fallen for this pre-recorded rubbish from the Australian Immigration 'Bureau'!?

I didn’t answer this call, but I receive a lot of similar calls asking me to press 1 for English or 2 for Chinese. After that, there is usually complete silence. I suspect these may be automated scam calls trying to identify active phone numbers or get the person to respond. I have also heard concerns about scammers attempting to collect voice recordings from unsuspecting victims for impersonation scams, such as using AI-generated voices to pretend to be someone you know. I recommend not responding, pressing any buttons, or providing any personal information on these calls. If you receive similar calls, it’s safest to block and report the number.
