scam call pretending to be hostplus super. if you call the number it says it is disconnected

Friday, 25 Oct. 2024. It was REST Super responding by 'phone to the questions I'd emailed them a week earlier.
From other comments here, it appears the number is regurgitated ...

I thought it might be Australian Super calling me in relation to a query as I couldn't talk to the guy when he phoned me last week but when I tried to call this number back heard recorded message stating that the number was disconnected.

Called ,I didn't answer, tried to all back and said it's disconnected

Cal couldn't be connected when called bavk

Missed the call. Called it back immediately and message says disconnected.

This was a legitimate call from CBUS regarding a death benefit claim I have.
It must be a number used for many companies to contact about super.

When I called the number today there’s a recorded message stating that the number is disconnected.

Caller: (02) 7256 9100

They said it was Cbus. I didn't answer. I called again but the number was unavailable. It was obviously a scam call.

Obvious scam going by all the previous comments naming various Superannuation companies. None of those named are my fund, I haven’t made any contact that my fund would be following up, all my transactions are online, so it must be scammers. They tried calling twice over one day, I don’t answer unknown callers and they left no messages.

I thought it may be from CBUS Super as I had a voice message from them but the guy didn't leave a return number. Tried calling this number back but says it was disconnected.

this number may be connected to an insurance company ?
