Kept calling me so I answered, it had that pause moment ( as with scammers) guy with an accent said his name was Brian (yeh right) and did I know that the NSW Government is giving out free solar hotwater, I said I already have it and he hung up on me.
So yes another ratbag scammer.

Just got a call from this number. But I have any call not in my contacts silenced. This is great feature of my iPhone. Possibly they just want to see if someone answers, then they know it’s a real number and can pass your number on for further rubbish calls. If someone really wants you they’ll leave a message.

Possibly Apple, ignored the call, straight after got a text about an enquiry I submitted a couple weeks ago and they said they would contact me on this date

Auto dialler scam

Caller: Claims to be "NSW Government"

Said they're calling from the NSW Government about a rebate and tried to persuade me to purchase a hot water system. Would not let me get off the phone even after telling them it isn't a convenient time.

Call back and get recorded voice saying “goodbye”
