Caller: Amazon Prime/Bank scam

I declined the call, as I always do with numbers not from my contacts, and a recorded VM was left regarding Amazon Prime and $99.99 being deducted from my bank account and asking to press 1 to speak to a rep. Clearly a scam as your bank would not call you via a recorded message like this. I also don't have my name or a VM greeting recorded so I know instantly when a VM is recorded it's fake.

Caller: Scammer

Trying to tell me my Telstra internet traffic is visible and wanted to move me to a "private node", which if you know much about internet honestly makes no sense.

Also tried to argue with me, and then said VPNs aren't secure.

Anyway, just ignore the call and stay safe.

Multiple calls over a period of time...never hear it ring, despite having phone in my hands sometimes...will continue my policy of not answering calls from unknown contacts...or blocking when appropriate...

Caller: (not) "Telstra"

Said his name was Kevin, calling from Telstra because of "so much unauthorised use of your internet account by other people". Doesn't even make sense. SCAMMER. Block number.

Knew it wasn't right because Telstra call centres haven't been based in India as far as I can tell from the accents of the staff who have previously dealt with customer queries.

He told me that my NBN would be shut down for 3 days to which I replied, "no worries" and then he just hung up. I tried to ring it back but no answer
