Caller: Scammers

Called me about being a loyal Optus customer and would like to discount my bill. Asked me to confirm my full name I said “I’m not comfortable giving that out on the phone” he then said my name I said yes (thinking this could be legit) he asked for my date of birth and I said “I will call you back on this number” he said okay so I googled and found this thread. He then tried calling me back on a mobile number and said “hey it’s the same person *insert not my name here*” and I hung up. Do not give out your details over the phone!

Big time scammers. They will start a conversation with any of your service and would try to get your details.

Said they were from Commbank and enquiring about a payment I was "trying to make to the USA"
Big Scam vibes!

A call from this number went straight to my message bank. The dumb-arse actually tried talking to my message service as if I was actually on the call.

Same here, missed the call from them then when I tried to call back the call was automatically cut off.

They called on my teams app and hung up. Now they have verified my number I’m gang numerous calls on my teams app. Don’t answer!!

Caller: NBN Network

Said they were from NBN and someone was using my internet account. Scammers just keep trying with their rubbish. Don't fall for it!

Said he was from commonwealth bank Mastercard, said i don't have one , hung up

Pretended to be from Amazon... knew my email and phone number. Said someone had purchased an Iphone and wanted to confirm it was me. Meanwhile i logged into Amazon, while i was doing that i asked what made them suspicious to call me? then told him I logged in an there was no order and he hung up. It's a scam, somehow they got my email address and phone number and I get these scams and others a lot.

Caller: Someone apparently from NNB

Someone claiming to be from National Networks Broadband (doesn't exist), said he wasnt from NBN, but then when I said NNB doesn't exist he later said they had several names nad NBN is one of them. Asked if my broadband was running a bit slow, and he was going to upgrade my security. Was trying to instruct me how to show my IP address. He said my IP address was showing off shore. I kept him on the phone with 'dumb' questions for over 21 minutes. Absolutely dumb scammer.

Called saying they were a Commbank Representative

Answered call, silence, then hung up on me

I answered morning, they hung up.

Scam - said they were from ComBank about a payment of $800 that I had made - how stupid do these people think consumers are - needless to say, I hung up - blocking now

phoned. no one on other end of line. they hung up.

Caller: Hazel from Telstra

Rang advising our internet is not secure. Told her our internet is fine and this is a scam and she quickly hung up.

Calls and says "The internet connection you are using will be disconnected in two days". I just hung up.

Saying they were calling from Telstra and that there has been internet issues the whole week. Asked whether i did anything to my internet. Indian man on the phone.
