I called back the number (02) 7227 8907 but the phone just kept ringing

Caller: Apparently ebay

Can’t believe the government still can’t stop these scams. Asked to call the number back or my eBay account will be cancelled, WTF!!!

I picked up the call and it immediately hung up.

They said Ebay was going to deduct $200 from my account for a giftcard if i don't ring them.
It was a recorded message.

when I picked up the call, it is an answering machine saying " your account has been ..."

I never answered the call but when I called back it was a message with an american female voice so it sounds like it was a hack number or something similar

a message played - " $200 has been charged for purchase of a Gift Card"...
it also said " to phone them IF you disagree..."

I hung up

Said something about cancelling a gift card...automated voice message

scammer, trying to get me to give her my phone information. hung up when I questioned why
