Caller: Scammer English guy pretending to be from Bankwest to report suspicious activity on my account. Sounded legitimate but half way through me telling him some of my recent transactions, the call got cut off. I immediately got suspicious (and thankfully didn't give out any personal details), locked my card and called the bank. They said it was a scam and that they never call customers if there has been suspicious activity on the account. Be warned!

Caller: Man with posh Indian Accent pretending to be from ING Bank Told me there was unauthorised activity on my Debit Card- sounded legit until I said to call me back but I would call ING first to see if he was legit. He told me the first 5 digits of my Visa card said someone had spent $1,000 in Big W & $9,000 on QANTAS & ING was checking if I had authorised the payments. I was worried but he hung up when I said I’d call ING to check.

Caller: Scammer Same English guy as above, pretending to be ING to ask about suspicious activities. He mentioned a generic ING card number (went with the first 6 digits) and asked about 2 transactions from Big W & Qantas. Cut off after I start mentioning some details. Definitely a scam and I have notified ING.

Caller: Scammer The same as above - although I thought he was Irish and a bit difficult to understand at times. Pretending to be from ING security team (knew my name) to report suspicious activity on my account ($1459 at BIG W; $9,000 at Qantas etc.). Tried to get me to identify rough bank balance and retailers I had spent money with recently. Tried to get my card details - identified the card by the generic digits at the front of the card (rather than the digits at the end, which are unique). I figured it out and he cut off the call. He was quite rude (clearly not trained in customer service).
