Why bother! Reverse call is a nothing, does nothing and can do nothing. Not an official Government or Telstra backed web site
It is now 2nd March 2018, last posted update was on 15th February 2018. There must have been several thousand additional scam complaints since then. I alone still get two or so scam calls a day from the same Indian scam caller, have attached a voice ID recorder and can analyse the voice tone . Same Indian male voice, mid thirties, long term Australian resident Indian national. This Indian voice is associated with numerous additional scam callers over the past year, many different caller ID,s, same caller response. My guess that it is only Telstra Bigpond clients that are targeted, the scam involves a massive Telstra security breach from what must have been a ex employee. Simple! the scam targets high disposable income post codes preying on at home retirees or pensioners during the middle of the day, thus avoiding contact with more astute employed younger people. Telstra could track this scam down within hours as it is computer based and relies on high traffic connectivity to a landline.

Garballed background noise pretending to be from a call centre, this an Indian scam operating from the Philippines or quite frankly anywhere. An AU caller number means nothing, these people are highly skilled IT engineers, they have internal access to all Telstra listings, active, disconnected or engaged and can utilise vacant internal Au numbers, so a call from the 0269 prefix means nothing, 03 is their favorite, can beat Telstra hands down on IT skills, then Telstra are highly staffed at this level with Indian Nationals (or previous nationals) Publication of the entire Australian telephone directory, available on DVD for free fed into a computer (second hand micro IBM mainframe) costs next to nothing. Millions in scam money for nothing but a few scumbag dishonest Indian paupers

Endless, endless, always 12.20 pm to 16.30 pm daily. Never reply, well aware of a scam, Indian voice is now Australian accent by a few years, my guess is a current or ANU IT student,
Used a previous 1414 number always a disconnected number. Obviously a Telstra identified fraud. Thanks Malcolm! On top of John!, you totally destroyed the Australian telecommunications network. Only solution is to now eliminate Telstra totally from my life, 60 years of service since 1965. Use a pre set code only for trusted callers. Get rid of scams, surveys, opinion polls along with fraudulent charities, all Telstra endorsed scams

Supposedly from 'the technical department of NBN'. They wanted me to go to my computer. When I queried why I needed to, and asked for a number to call back they gave me 65632826, but then quickly called the 'supervisor' (who also had a similar accent) for support. He began a similar story so I hung up. The NBN does not deal directly with individual clients.

As for all other posts, this is a scam. If you have caller number ID, keep this number written down next to your phone and don't answer it. If you DO answer it, and twig that it is scammers from Telstra or Microsoft, don't hang up, but don't speak. Just listen till they hang up or put the phone down and go back five minutes later and hang it up then. Leave them wondering!

Male voice claimed to be from Telstra. Asked how I was, I said "good" and then he hung up. They are serial pests and are breathing our good air.

Claims to be from Telstra, and that there has been unathorised activity on our network. Hung up when I said I had to call her back as I was away from my desk.

Very similar to person that lodge complaint on 5th Feb. When I asked her to verify who she was, she proceeded to give me a long number that she called a security code. I told her I wanted to verify who she was first, she asked me to log on to my settings - advised I would not until I had verified her identity. She became aggressive and told me I wasn't listing to her, I told her - no I heard what you said you are not listening to me so she hung up.

Answered call, no response except recorded "goodbye" in an eloquent Aussie female voice. Hung up. Can I advise the complainant on 5 Feb to NOT, repeat not engage in conversation with these vermin.
