Multiple calls over one afternoon and night. Even though it looks like a local call i dont answer and they don't leave a message.

My new Telstra Guardian phone stopped this call without me even knowing. The best $72 I have ever spent. Every home should have one....BRILLIANT!!! My life is so peaceful now 😀.

Had an Indian sounding lady call me and told me someone had been using my computer for malicious viruses and downloads.
Obviously knew it's a scam to get me to download TeamViewer so I told her I don't have a computer (which I do) and I only have an iPhone.
Got her to tell me to download the TeamViewer app, and I was taking the piss asking her how to spell it. Afterwards I told her that I was writing everything on a sheet of paper... to which to my surprise, told me I was wasting Telstra's time, called me a bastard and hung up.

These calls make my day, I love wasting their time :)

Indian accent. Said they were Telstra calling about the Internet. When I said I didn't have Internet, he called me a 'mother f***ker' then hung up! Getting lots of these over the last week.

I've also started receiving these calls again after having spoken to the Telstra help desk, I've blocked this number now on my landline and mobile.

Jenny, If you get your self a Telstra Call Guardian phone it gives the facility to block up to 200 numbers. I purchased one last year and even if the number isn't blocked any number that's not in your phone book has to announce who they are and any scammers won't announce themselves and then the number just comes up as a missed call and you can then add them to your blocked list. It's been the best purchase ever, and no I don't work for Telstra. I actually purchased my phone through e-bay.

Received 9 calls in 2 days, all went through to Voicemail, no messages. Clearly pest calls, not surprised to hear they are Indian scammers.

Have had a number of calls and messages in past couple of afternoons. Calls and texts from (02) 6985 2478 (Marsden) and from 61061269852478. I have booked the calls from the second number but then received call from the first. I also received 7 calls yesterday and 1 so far today on landline. Same old story. Telstra, laptop problem etc etc. all are foreign born (accented) with strangely Anglo Saxon names. Jenny, Christine Green, Gary, Michael. When challenged on their lovely English names they hang up. I also have told them I would phone Telstra immediately ...they hang up, then call again after about an hour. Idiots! Also be wary of those threatening to cut off your internet and landline if you don’t connect to NBN.

Answered and was told 'Telstra technical department' and I hung up immediately. Obvious scammers, add this number to your blacklist.
Tried to Call Back, disconnected number.

Constantly call every day. Telstra technical support yeah sure. If I answer the call I ask them to hang on while I turn my computer on. Put the phone down and walk away.

Same number keeps calling all afternoon and evening. I googled the number and apparently it belongs to Chime Communications in Marsden Au. That obviously? Is a number in NSW Marsden not QLD Marsden. If only I could block them on my landline!

I also received a call from this number today and said they were from the Telstra Technical Dept, I asked for Telstra ID and she gave me some bullsh*t number that startted with aud any way she said she was for real hahaha and then she said can you turn on your computer and I will show you a number for your account that only Telstra would know I just said whatever you reckon and hung up, tried to ring number back but it said this number could not be connected

Scam. Waste of my time yet again!!!

This is a very common issue
Contacted Police & Optus but they use different number every time
This is a well know problem - sadly our Govt (all sides) seems more interested in playing politics than actually helping solve real issues

i have an unsecured internet connection what crap they keep changing number when i block them

Indian sounding lady called today at 1630 claiming to be from Telstra. Advised that everytime I used the internet, I was downloading some virus. They said they would assist me in getting rid of the virus. Requested that I turn on the computer. I asked if they knew who they were talking to or where they were ringing. They hung up......

Caller: Indian scammer

Told them to stop trying to steal from people and to stop ringing.

Rang me 3 times. Pests!! Usuall few seconds of silence, then asian accents. Scammers.

I told the Indian sounding caller to tell me my Telstra Account number before I would discuss anything. He then hung up.
