Claim to be from a call blocking service and asking whether I receive nuisance calls. I replied yes, as an example this one!

Had a recorded message claiming to be Telstra Technical and that my internet line will be cut from today. Advised to press 1 to accept or 2 to contact Telstra.

Claiming to be from the Do Not Call register - asking to check credit card details

Caller: They said it was Telstra Internet.

When told we don't have Telstra, they hung up. Ring frequently.

That's sad when you can hear other people getting scammed. That makes me the most cranky.

This is really annoying because you're right, you can't tell them to get lost.

Call came from (02) 6974 5494 - told my mother internet had been hacked and they were going to turn it off - Mum told them to call me - they said no daughter can call us and gave this phone number (02) 8006 2058. Daughter called this number for different phone and some random answered with "hello"!!!! Complete dodgy/scam call..... these people need to get a life. Don't fall for this!!!

Same Telstra message. I made a report on the ACCC Scamwatch site. It takes 2 minutes, and helps them to shut these idiots down.

This number called my 95 year old mother telling her she was going to be disconnected. She became quite distressed as she has just had the NBN connected. When I visited with her today, attempted to call this number back and recorded voice advised it is not connected

Same as this - I don't have Telstra internet (or anything with Telstra for that matter) so knew it was a scam

Caller: Michael from Telstra Tech Section(Like Hell he was)

A male calling himself Michael with Indian accent claiming to be from Telstra Tech Section stating that the internet was going to be disconnected for four days. I knew that he was not who he said he was so I strung him around for a while. He eventually wanted to give him control of the computer so that he could fix problems. After about 20 minutes I asked him whether I have waisted his time because he has surely waisted mine and told him to piss off .

when you answer they hang up. Do not answer any more but they ring everyday like clock work. Can't even tell them to F off.

stated that internet speed was slow and wanted to help. Told them to jump. still receiving up to 3 calls a day.

When I answered it was an automated message saying my internet was due to be cut off. I didn't listen to the rest of the message >:(
