Automated spam message saying this is a government agency and advising that you have a tax debt outstanding and that a warrant for your arrest has been issued and you have to ring (02) 6698 4041 to stop this from happening. I did not ring the number, however, after a number of these calls all on the same day, I rang the ATO and it is a scam and new one but a scam.

Just received a message on my landline stating a warrant has been issued for my arrest by the taxation dept. Rang the number back and rang out. So checked the number on this site.

Scammers, rang it back and had a go, and said to them dirty rotten scammers and then I called it a few times and each time I got them I said rotten scammer. Vent over.
