Caller: Someone claiming to be from Amazon This person told me I had purchased an iphone from Amazon and that the money had already be debited from my account did I still want it? I was then asked to go turn on my computer and that they would refund me the money. I hung up. What was concerning is that it was not an automated call.

Totally a scam...no introduction of business name. Claimed they were in the area looking at exchange for Telstra, and stated that my internet router wasn't up to scratch.

Apparently I made a purchase for over $500 from Amazon and if I press '1' they would refund my credit card which has already been debited!!! Yeah right, no worries - My Credit cards were chopped up 10 years ago

Another scam caller, I only listened to the first few words, something about a purchase so immediately hung up. While posting this comment I have just had another call from the same number, I didn’t answer. If there is several seconds silence when the phone is answered it usually is an indication of a scam call.

Same as all the others in the post. We get these all the time, so we have to let most things go to answering machine. No message left.

Caller: Phising Scam They told me my order with Amazon for over $500 was successful & charged on my credit card press 1 to cancel. Well I don't shop with Amazon, no account with them. I don't Online shop at all. So definitely a scam call. I did not bother with pressing 1 to find out what they say next. Obviously they try to solicit valuable info from you & who knows what they do it.

Caller: Scam caller Recorded message played saying something to the effect that "they" had been trying to contact me to warn that my phone was about to be disconnected and to immediately be connected and talk to someone I should push the "1" button on my phone. Yeah right! I had a friend who did that and by pushing "1" on your keypad, the phone is connected to their overseas call service and a month of so later you get this enormous phone bill - in the thousands of dollars!
If you get such a phone call DO NOT PUSH "1" ON YOUR KEYPAD.- instead immediately hang up.
