Scammers using ATO scare tactics of arrest and such. Male phone recording requiring that 1 be pressed, etc. I hung up.

I had the same experience as previous poster: no message was left when they first called and when I returned their missed call, I could hear human noise on the other end but no one answered my hello’s and then they hung up on me. I’ve had this happen before with other numbers that turn out to be scammers. I’ve blocked this number now - a growing list!

I had the same call - male voice recorded - threatening arrest over ATO outstanding payments. I also hung up

received a recorded message about tax evasion and spoke to a person, wanting to know about our taxation in Australia.

I rang back the number (02) 6216 1147 once but got disconnected

No one spoke when I answered and I said Hello again and then I hung up. No text message was left after.
