Caller: Robo call purporting to be regarding an ATO debt

Caller: Purported to be the ATO

A robocall that told me this was the final notice of a tax debt resulting from a tip-off from an informant.

Warned of all sorts of dire consequences if I didn’t pay up on time, and wanted me to dial 3 (or something) to speak to debt recovery staff.

I’m willing to risk it, so I didn’t press 3!!

Dodgy phone call supposedly from ATO

I called back number (02) 6216 1146 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.

rang and hung up. Who is this supposed to be?

Caller: Australian Tax Office Scammer

Received a recorded message saying it was the Australian Tax Office. I then hung up. As it was a scam.

Caller: ATO Phone Scam

Left automated message about owing money to the ATO and threatening arrest. Just another scam.

Caller: I don't know

Answered the phone call, but no response from their end. Called back and was told the subscriber's mailbox is full. Possibily spam/testing numbers to see if they pick up

Claimed to be ATO. Was a recorded message.

Caller: Tax collector for AGL

Automated voice system claiming to a tax collector on the behalf of AGL
