They would call me then start laughing with some other people and start talking about how i entered for 10 grand and i have to give them my full bank details

I am glad that I could not get to the phone quick enough. Saw that I had a missed call from (02) 6188 5917 and checked on reverseaustralia. Thank you for the information.

Absolute load of rubbish. They claim to have gotten my number from a competition I never entered.

I'm having trouble with my elderly father constantly falling for these scams. People tell him he applied for something or expressed interest. I've had to cancel his credit card 3 times in the last 6 weeks.
Parasites with no morals.
If anyone has any tips on how I can protect my dad (without having to get power of attorney), I'd love to hear them!

Call from this number today - total scam. Said I'd completed an online survey or competition, and just needed to provide them with answers to a few more questions to go into the draw to win $250k. Hah, I don't think so buddy. Consider yourself blocked!

Scam, utter scam, they lie and hang up when questions are being asked. Telco's should close this number and not allow these people to get new numbers.

Got call from another scammer for power bills said wrong number ten minutes later these people call.

Number (02) 6188 5917 called me 3 times within 24 hours. First two calls were missed, and left one voicemail from a woman with an accent who said "Hello? Hello? Hello?... Hello?" and then hung up. It was very noisy in the background, a lot of people talking. Most recently she called again for the third time after 5pm, so it was already strange before I picked up. If it was real, they would not be calling after business hours and would leave a proper voicemail with their name, number and details for me to call back. I answered and it was the same lady asking for me and said she was from some company with a long name which I cannot remember because of her accent and not a company I'm familiar with. She asked me if i was interested to complete a survey as I had apparently entered a competition to win $250,000. I said I was not interested and asked her to not call me again. I have a feeling this is the same number/lady who called me repeatedly about 6 months ago trying to get my details for something else. I tried very hard to avoid saying 'yes' to anything over the phone, even when asked if it was me who they were speaking to, as I have heard of scams recording your voice when you say 'yes' to then use to get your bank details later. This is a complete SCAM, and do not answer if this number calls. After reading the comments, it sounds like the same thing has been happening to a lot of other people. DO NOT ANSWER.

Yep, if you start a survey and just give up, it obviously saves what you've entered. Bloody annoying.
