ATO department saying there is a warrant for my arrest for tax fraud. This scammer is the world's first living brain transplant donor.

Received a call from (02) 6188 5641 at 9,36 am today, Tuesday 22 August 2016. Message left advising ATO re tax fraud and was time critical to call back the number left.. No name left or asked for. This followed a very aggressive call a couple of days ago who actually did ask for me by name and continued to ring back threatening until my male neighbor answered the phone after which the continued calls ceased. This one was threat of arrest in 10 mins due to ATO fraud but no number was displayed (private number) as I have call ID on my landline. WHEN IS SOMETHING GOING TO BE DONE TO STOP THESE SCAMMERS - ELDERLY PEOPLE LIVING ALONE ARE TERRIFIED THAT THEY KNOW WHERE THEY LIVE - HAVE LISTED MY NUMBERS ON THE REGISTER TO STOP UNSOLICITED CALLS!!!! Please help get rid of these pests.

This is the third call we have had, two in two days and would like the Taxation Department etc to do some checking up. We have called the fraud Squad of the Taxation Department and given them the information and we are hoping they will catch up with these unscrupulous people who are lower than a snaked belly.

Same callers I think from (02) 6188 5648. Phoned back a couple of times, and to 6188 5649. Both always engaged.

Now, why do they even allow these retards to do it (?) I'm so sick and tired of these BULLsh*tING messages and calls ! Arrest me now...

Yes - they have called me too. Just ignore it - report the phone number to the ATO.

Same as other report!!! Warrant against my name for Tax Fraud. Knew my address also which is pretty intimidating. Rang back after research proved it was a scam number and told them the Police were on there way as we had traced the number. Got a tirade of abuse from someone with an Indian accent.

Same message ATO filling a lawsuit against me. Call number to review my case.

Same thing, these morons keep leaving 3-4 messages on my machine.
I'll be calling from a number, not my house to abuse these f*ckwits later today.

Rang my Elderly Mum today and luckily she checked with me. Left a really nasty message on her answering machine. These creeps annoy me.

I missed picking up this call so they left a voicemail message. Woman claimed i had a tax fraud, was being investigated, and that I should call back immediately. In my haze of just hearing some very bad news before this call (a family member had just passed), I assumed this was real and started to panic. I then quickly calmed down as: A) At no point did she mention who the call was from, B) did not mention who the call was for, C) I've dealt with different government departments in the past and they would never leave such an amateurish message like this, nor with such flaky information, and D) I've never cheated on my taxes in my 30 year working life so far! And neither had any other member of my household!

I then tried calling back the number left, but of course it was a "disconnected" number, as is with all these awful scams. They obviously left the unconnected number so that you would answer the phone next time they call as you'd be in panic as I was. And I do hope they call because they're going to hear expletives from me that will burn their ears off. How DARE they do this. I will most definitely be making a formal complaint about this one.

Like the poster above I received a call on 16 August with the same line; there is a warrant out for my arrest because of tax fraud (yawn). The caller had some energy saying this message was not to be ignored and a response was time-critical.

These scammers are so stupid; surely they must know that WE know that that once we hear and sub-continental accent on the line telling us there is something wrong with our computer, we haven't paid something, or now that we are going to be arrested unless we enlist their help (at cost or revelation of personal details), it is a genuine fraud. Goodness gracious me!

This is getting very annoying, they call us about 20 times a day.
