Caller said that they got my number from a friend and that I had recently entered a competition and won a Range Rover. Then cut off suddenly. These are scammers. Accent sounds East Asian

Telemarketing claimed I recently completed an online survey (which is not true)... she said I had the chance to win a Landrover etc if I completed a quick 5 minute lifestyle survey (so they could gather MORE marketing information about me). I said I wasn't interested and we ended the call.

As soon as I answered this call I could hear that it was a call centre in the background due to all the noise. I immediately hung up and now I am blocking this phone number. I figure if someone "really" wants to get a hold of me they know where I live or have my email address.

I had the same experience as previous posts. They said that I entered some online competition (that I NEVER do) and had the chance to enter in to win a Range Rover or $125,000 if I do some survey. They had my full name and mobile number.

I don't usually answer phone numbers I don't recognise and I had just missed the call, but no voicemail was left. Again I usually have a strict "If it is important they would have left a message", however this was a local number and I was expecting a call from a Doctor with medical results. So I called the number back and a fast talking Indian lady answered the phone and I couldn't catch the company name, so I continued the call until they said about the competition and that was when I terminated the call. I will be checking my phone bill to see if I was charged standard rates or if this went to an overseas line and I am charged more.

I made the mistake of entering an online competition and now I am getting SMS, emails and calls saying I have won or could win various prizes. Today I received a call from this number saying that I could win a 2019 Range Rover if I would answer some survey questions. The woman was very polite, although from an obvious very noisy overseas call centre. I request she remove my number from their call list, and have since blocked the number.

Same caller twice today. First I ignored knowing it was spam but I answered when they called back hours later coz I'm pregnant & didn't wanna chance missing an important call. Was a lady with a thick accent, asked for me by name & said I was in the running to win a brand new Range Rover. I laughed & hung up coz I haven't entered any online comps & I don't even have a drivers license so why would I enter to win a car?! lol

Have you by chance ordered from pizza hut recently? I only started getting texts and calls after I ordered online from pizza hut

They called me like 5 times in one day coz I apparently entered in a draw so I hang up and blocked them as I know I didn’t enter anything for them to have gotten my number

This phone number came up on my phone with the word Canberra Australia, iv"e blocked them

Apparently I entered an online competetition and won... something. I dont know what I supposedly won cause as soon as I heard that, I hung up & blocked the number. Wonder if these are the same cretins who keep ringing me at home??

LOL Looks like you fell for the scam, Marky Mark. They're looking for people JUST like you. You didn't enter a competition, there is NO range rover or cash prize. Jeez, people like you are WHY these scams still exist.
