I have had 6 missed calls from (02) 6181 1501 at all random hours of the day and night when I called them back I was told I had entered a competition and they where calling to do a survey of my life style, and they needed me to agree to other marketing company's calling me. When I said I worked shift work and all the calls have been waking me up. She hung up the phone.

From Canberra & they have called on 3 numbers now 61885917, 61811501 and 61885918. Would definitely be scammers. BLOCK!

OK, so I fell for a competition that was sent to me because it looked like it was being run by Qantas. Big mistake. You had to answer two or three questions - provide name, email address and phone number - to enter but once you tried to enter it kept asking for more and more information including income. Obviously at this point I stopped, but the damage was done. These bastards have my phone number and will not give up.

I'm actually angrier about the bullsh*t competition entry form with layers and layers of misleading entreaties to provide information than the phone calls.

I have made it a habit to not answer any calls from a number I don't have in my address book.If they don't leave a message I block them immediately especially if they are listed on this website. Pity I can't do the same with No Caller ID calls

It's a scam - harvesting information to sell to marketing companies so you can get lots more pointless calls - once you start getting calls from this number you basically have to change your phone number because you will be getting bombarded with scumbags phoning you claiming that you "requested further information" about some crap that they are selling.

Played music to them,had obvious Manila sounding bloke say “what sh#t Aussie music” and hung up.obviosly not Aussie As was playing Paul kelly dumb things.

Anyone who is receiving calls from this number should know that the VoIP provider is www.symbionetworks.com and you can check for a numbers VoIP provider here https://www.thenumberingsystem.com.au/#/number-register/search . I suggest we all call Symbio Networks each time we get a scam call from one of their VoIP customers and then maybe Symbio Networks will do something. Symbio Networks number is 1300 789 653. You must realize that Symbio Networks gets paid by the scammers that use their service and this is the reason Symbio Networks appear to be providing a safe haven to scammers.

Didn't answer these phone calls - thought I'd check on google to see where this number led to and voila' marketing crap!!!!! Thank goodness I did not answer - BLOCK!!!!!

must be getting desperate 5 calls from them in 2 hours, first 4 i ignored as i didnt know the number, last call i answered as a Police Fraud squad section and they hung up immediately

Thanks to everyone for their comments and information. Like one of the previous commentators I don't answer calls from numbers which are not in my address book. Before considering returning the call I look at this site to see if there is a record of abuse of the telephony system. If there is, I immediately block them.

They called to tell me I had recently completed a survey and that I could go into the draw to win an overseas holiday if I just answered some questions for them. I've had these calls in the past and I'll answer a bunch of questions and then they'll inform me that I don't match the criteria to enter the draw. It happens every time so I'm convinced they're just collecting information for a survey. It's such a massive waste of my time.

2 missed calls today from this number. Left a voicemail but they didn't say anything and there was no background noise at all.

Same issues as others - Symbio Networks number - they have 3000 numbers allocated to users from (02) 6181 0000 to (02) 6181 2999. They are a VOIP provider and it's one of their users ...
