Tax scam. ACT NUMBER do not reply

The horrendous voice message they left !! Threats of arrest warrants !!
I was silly enough to call back, eventually got to an Indian sounding guy. Unintelligible except for 'Australian Taxation Office'
When I started questioning him, he hung up.
I called the ATO, they took all the details and promised to investigate.

This is exactly what happened to me. It's a scam, don't call back!

Left a recorded robotic message on my phone. Definitely a scam. Tax office does not communicate this way.

Got a voicemail about tax avoidance and how they’re sending a warrant out for my arrest.

Say they from tax department and issued a warrant for arrest or call the same number to sort the issue.

Caller: I don't know

Threatening robocall with a female Australian accent. Claims to be the ATO, demands a call back.

Posing to be from ATO with an warrant for an arrest. SCAM

Number left voicemail saying I had avoided tax and a warrant was being issued for my arrest. I called the number back and a man answered saying Australian tax office. Scam!!!

said they were from tax department causing a tax fraud and a warrant for my arrest

I did not answer the call and received a voice mail shortly after. The pre-recorded messages said I was going to to be arrested for tax avoidance and needed to file a petition. I think it's a scam and found similar descriptions of voice mails from a similar number (ending with 1195)
