Recorded message, something about tax, documents unreturned etc. Mechanic voice. Did not even listen to the end - def a fraud!

scam call alluding to Tax debt threatening legal action and arrrest. English accent but dubious gramma.

I called back number (02) 6176 1048 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.

I was on the phone when I noticed that I had a missed call from a Canberra number. A female had left a message , barely audible, claiming was calling from the ATO and made reference to enforcement proceedings against me and that a warrant for my arrest was about to issue unless I called a number back as time was an issue.

When I called back. The person answering stated that they were from the ATO and there was a lot of back ground noise. I could not make any sense of what they were saying. Seems like some type of scam> Unsure what their MO is.

I called back... Indian-accented man answered, told me that ATO called but he was unsure why, so started asking for personal details to "verify" my identity and retrieve the records for the call. I hung up.
Definitely a scam.

Let it ring out, and instead of leaving voicemail they sent an audio MMS. Searched here and didn't even bother listening to it.

Message left was in regards to tax documents and paperwork being returned. Our tax is always done by a tax agent so I regard this message as a scam or fraudulent.

Automated scam caller. Left a message about tax avoidance and a warrant for arrest. Nice try.

just had a call on my mobile from this number came up as from Madagascar I did not answer and they did not leave a message
