I suspect a scam, a computer generated call claiming that unless I call them back I will have a lawsuit filed against me.

Claiming to be the ATO

Voice mail left "The reason behind call is that there is a law suit case is getting filed aganist your name. The moment you receive this message i want you to get back to me on my department divison number 6176 09 24 i repeat 61 76 09 24.

Now if we don't hear from you we have to issue a arrest warrant under your name and get you arrested. So get back to me as soon as possible.

called by a computer advising that a law sit had been filed against me and that I would be arrested if I didn't call back. Clearly bullsh*t. I've been arresting people for years and never for a law suit - happy enough to lock this d*ckhead up though.

An electronic voice called saying it is from the ATO and there is a lawsuit under my name. It asked to call a number threatening an arrest order if I don't call back.

Missed a call from these people. Caller id shows that its from 'Canberra, Australian Capital Territory'. Don't know anyone from Canberra. I'm a tourist.

I had the same message about the law suit. I rang . It rang then hung up. Second time . It answered . It sounded like a bunch of Indian telemarketers. I said im returning the call . They hung up .

Says they are going to arrest me in a recorded message.

This is a scam please don't listen these people are based overseas saying there has been miscalculation on your taxes and the Federal Police is coming to arrest you.
