called me and left msg about paper work unsigned and taking legal action blah blah

Recorded message left on my mobile. ATO about tax fraud and I am about to be arrested, hung up.

You missed a call from (02) 6176 0605, who said "Mark. Lynn. The fraudulent and suspicious activities. Paper works sent(?) to the registered address has also returned back and signed and delivered to this." This message was provided by Telstra at no charge to you.

Some suss sounding garbled message about tax file number and fraud...

Caller: A representative of the ATO

A recorded system message (non english speaking background) stating that the call was from the ATO and to push option 1. Upon doing this an individual answered that phone and asked me for my TFN.

I quried this be asking the individual to prove he was from the ATO. At ythat point he hung up.

Called and left message, hard to hear, something about putting hold on my Tax File Number. Rang back and was told that due to temporary service difficulties unable to connect at this time....

He said his name was David Prout badge number 0421 and that I under investigation for tax fraud. Wanted the name of my lawyer to represent me in court. I asked if this was a scam and he hung up. As above robotic voice saying calling from Australian Tax Office. That tax file number has been marked for suspicious activity and that paperwork has been returned unsigned. At that point I hung up. Definitely a scam.
