Fake tax office robocall. Obviously spoofing the number. Be very aware

Got a robot ladies voice message saying something about fraud and tax and arrest. Terrible grammar when speaking. Asked to press 1 and call back. NO

Alwasy good fun when a tax agent (yes I am one) gets scam call saying they are from the ATO.

Threatened with warrent for execution.
Initially the call showed it was from Canberra. But lodged on my phone as No Caller Id

Message in UK English accent threatening arrest due to tax file number being incorrect. I know this is not the case as I had recently checked my tax information.

Received a robocall with the same threat re the ATO and an arrest warrant in the next 2 hours
Hung up and rang the number on our unlisted home line and the person actually answered. When I asked why he thought I should be arrested he hung up.

This number try to calling me as well luckily it was called my friend before and exactly he is scammed, very shame on you man that’s you scam information form people for your not one reason is money.

It’s a fake call stating they are calling from the ATO and an arrest warrant is out for you. It’s a hoax. Immediately cut the phone and report it to the police or authorities about this.

Yes. Indian accent; said he was from tax office, and it was urgent. I told him to stop scamming people, hung up and blocked the number

I got call from this number and I did realised scam and I told him that you’re scam and angry then he cut off the phone

Caller: Claimed to be Australian Tax Office

Robocall claiming that due to tax file irregularities there was an arrest warrant issued and a call was required to a specified number to cancel it. Obviously a dangerous scam.

message said that they calling from Australian Tax Office & warrant was out for my arrest for fraudulant activity & I had to ring them back or press 1 to have it stopped.
I did not do either.

Just received a call from this number too!! Didn't answer!

SCAMMER - Automated Recording. Claiming that I had committed a Tax Crime, and had to pay a fine. Pfffftttt! Yeah Right! I get half a dozen of these time wasting scam calls every year around (this) Tax Return time! SO ANNOYING !!! The GOVT really needs to find a way to stop these frustrating f***ers from being able to call from overseas and spoof Australian telephone numbers like this one!
