I just got the same call. And as always i gave them false info and she wanted me to call the same number. SCAM! SCAM!

received the same phone call I gave them in incorrect name and birthdate and they thanked me for my confirmation. seriously how stupid do they think we are.

add (02) 6152 8642 to the list for the $6325.00 overcharged bank fees and the names stephen colemam, paul edwards and rose dawn

I received a call this morning from an "Indian" speaking person stating that I was to receive $6325.00 from Bank Overcharge - IAW their instructions I call (02) 6152 8643 to be confirmed & that I had to pay Legal Fees of $299.00 - on a Western Union Form that is FREE from the Post Office (she emphasized FREE) - My internet was down at the time - Internet back up - checked the Number and as suspected a Scam. Just how many SUCKERS are out there.

Called to say banks owe me money ($6325) and wanted to send me the cheque. Had to call this number to speak to their manager with a reference code to organise check. Tried to keep them on the line as long as I could. She (Bella Cullen), had trouble explaining why I had to call her manager, and eventually hung up.

Just had the same call and she had an india accent, same gave me a ref number and phone number to receive the money that they reckon I was over charged!

We just received a call, she had a strong Asian accent, saying that they did a demographic survey in area and it was decided that we were to receive $6000 as prices were high in our area..told us to record CR675 and ring her Manager.. Ohh also asked how we would like to receive the money and which bank we would like a cheque from.. knowing it was a scam we called the number they hung up on us!! Just can't wait until the cheque comes in the mail!!

ID : SP137 said to ring her boss on (02) 6152 8643 straight away as he can send out a cheque for $6000 the Gov has found I was overcharged by my Bank. Which bank did I want the cheque payable to ???? I bet he would want a/c numbers also.

now they are calling with a different subject: they called today saying we have been over charged commonwealth banking fees, $8000 and to call back on this number (02) 6152 8643 with a reference number they have given us to collect it.

Uuuummmm we have never banked with commonwealth ever in our lives for a start

Received call today claiming I was owed $6000 as a result of being overcharged by bank whenever I purchased something. Gave me ref number and asked me to call the supervisor on (02) 6152 8643 to complete the process. Caller had very poor English with Indian accent

Same msg left on my answering machine asking to call them back on (02) 6152 8622, however the number they called from as registered on our Caller ID is (07) 3018 7514.

Clearly they failed to review Comm. legislation/ACCC policy regarding debt collection and privacy/confidentiality policy which strictly forbids debt collectors/ATO/Child Support Agency from disclosing the nature of the call/debt (as these thieves are doing on answering machines) to anyone else other than the debtee themselves or an authorised person on their behalf.
ATO/Child Support and some Debt Collection agents do not identify where they are calling from when leaving a message which typically say something along the lines of instead they will leave a typical message like Typically when theycall they dont even say what company they're calling from just 'Please call John Doe back on 123 456 regarding a personal matter".

Just received the exact same voice message too. Idiots!!

I received a similar voicemail from someone claiming to be from the ATO regarding tax fraud. Complete scam. The message didn't address anyone particular in the household. It was left by a man with a distinct American accent, asking to call back on (02) 6152 8622. Please add this number to the list.

I just got the same message...they actually left it on our answering machine?!? Normally these idiots just hang up when the answering machine clicks in.

These idiots called me today. How dare they make up these absurd phone calls..go get a life..remember karma is a bitch!!!!
