Ebay scam call. Automated. $299 purchase.

Scammer is still active. Got a call yesterday 18/3/24

eBay scam call

Called 11:38am on 18/3/24, did not leave a message. Showed to be from “Australian Capital Territory”

Called at 12.27pm, hanging up after I answered. I ignored their second call at 1.30pm. Probably part of the spoofing scam that my number seems to have gotten caught up in. Thes calls are common but I don't think I've had one from a landline identified as being based in Canberra before.

received calls from this number - no answer

Didnt leave a message. Came up as potential fraud

telling me that my account will be automatically debited $299 if i dont respond

When I answered they hung up. Call area
City, Australian Capital Territory.

Hung up on their first attempt, they then called back 30min later. Hung up again - left no message either time.

They rang me twice. I didn't answer. They didn't leave a message.

called said from ebay and $298 to be deducted from my account for a purchase

Called every hour waiting for an answer 6 times

Caller: A voice recording saying something about a perchance on eBay,

It was a voice recorder message saying something about a purchase I made on my eBay account, I don’t have an eBay account definitely a scam

Called a few times and hung up after hearing me professionally accept the call, perhaps because I don't have a frail voice.

Supposedly EBAY scam call got the B response. Thanks to all who have repprted on these creeps. The number seemingly being an ACT number is appropriate I guess with all the the BS that comes out of Canberra!
