Caller said they were from CSA called back csa department number they had no record of calling me. Caller asked for my personal info I did not supply. Sounded very official but could not verify any details about themselves. Beware.

This could potentially have been a valid argument 30+ years ago, but these days it doesn't hold water. A single number can handle an unlimited number of outbound calls in 2020, and even if they did have individual numbers for outbound calls, they'd have incoming calls all bundled and sent to their main number.

PEOPLE, DON'T EVER GIVE OUT INFORMATION TO ANYONE CALLING YOU. Ask them to prove who they are, and to prove that they're calling the right person - by telling you information only a legitimate caller would know.

There are comments on this thread saying that this number is not genuine. I can confirm it is, having spoken to the Services Australia scams dept and also the child support agency. The reason that the number doesn’t ring if you try to call back is because the child support agency makes calls using an outbound dialer system that doesn’t accept inbound/return calls, it only allows outgoing calls.

ITS NOT A SCAM pay your child support then you wont get the call out

had repetitive calls and over a few days then every 1-2 hours
i tried calling back only to have a call failed prompt appear on my phone
have now blocked number as this is business work phone number that is passed on from previous employees i do not register as a private number including CSA or government departments
