Caller: Claiming to be ATO

Scam! Automated message claiming I’m wanted for tax avoidance. Scared the hell out of me but logically there are so many flaws in the message. Glad I looked this up before calling back! Don’t call back!

left a voicemail, computerised voice. talked of tax avoidance or something ridiculous, i dont earn enough to pay tax haha :-( but yes this call is a load of bollocks, i will be having some fun if they call me again >:-)

Obvious scam, as everyone else has said, they say something about you being arrested. In future scam cases, I find that telling them I am a 15 year old girl seems to get them to hang up and stop calling, as most younger girls wouldn’t have large funds/pay taxes. I find it also works for house insurance scams too haha! Hopefully that might help someone else out

Scam. Left a voice mail because I refuse to answer unknown number now because they are all scams. It was an automated voice message saying I was being investigated for tax avoidance and warrant for arrest blah blah blah. Second voice message I’ve had like this from another number. Please be vigilant everyone. Do not answer unknown phone numbers and block them immediately when they are scams

Didn't pickup the call then voicemail said "We regret to inform you that your account has been marked for tax avoidance. paper work sent to your registered address also...etc etc.." lol

The ATO (SCAM NUMBER) called me and were absolutely justs fake. Do not answer call ignore it.

Message says there is a warrant for arrest, this number and associated accounts need to be blocked or investigated for fraud.

Called saying that I was involved in Tax fraud and demanded me to pay a sum of 2384 AUD outside court

Actually, if you look at https://www.thenumberingsystem.com.au/#/number-register/search and download the CSV file, you find that this number is registered to Verizon Australia Pty Ltd, and their number is (03) 9019 2000
Please call them to complain.

A recorded voice saying that I was being investigated for tax avoidance. I hung up and called back and a live person with a very strange accent, who was quite agressive, said I'd been named in an affidavit accusing me of tax avoidance and was going to be arrested.
When I asked for his name and that he slow down so I could write it down, he hung up.
I kept calling back and it kept ringing out. (and I continue to do so to annoy him).

This call is automatic voice recording as it says about tax issues. Stupid guy called 2 nd time, when I called back and asked what’s wrong they are scared and hang my call up.

This number called and left a voice recording message about tax and how I’d be arrested..... can’t belive they do scams like this! I first I was worried so I looked up the number, found it’s just a dumb scam! So annoying !!!

He said he was from the ATO we owed taxes from 2006 to 2010 and ignored our court order and they would arrest us.
Very Aggressive and yes very convincing, Saying you cant hang up. and that you can pay $2000 today and then pay the rest off.
Indian accent, very bold and very stern.
