I got a call from this number and was told that i got a refund of $7000 from ATO for good behaviour. They told me to call back (02) 6100 4364.

I got a call from Indian accent George Parker offering me $70000 for bieng good Australian citizen. some idiot who has nothing to do.

Hey even i recieved the same phone call from john williams and he was so convinced.Dont loose the money.Can we give complaint against them?

Called and claimed to be the tax office. Followed up with the tax office and there is no record of this number on file with them.

I also got a call from the same guy, George Parker, told me the usual crap. While he was on the phone, I googled the number he gave me and found it is a scam as I thought. I told him the number he gave doesn't sound like an ATO number and he replied "It is a confidential scheme !" what a crap ! Even I got a similar call today with the same description as mentioned by others.  The catch over here now is that I should be making a donation of $270 to some needy child in India who is a part of the organisation UNICEF.  This payment can be made thru any of the Western Union centres. They were also helpful in finding the nearest centre in my area for me.   Once I make this payment and advise them of the receipt no. I will be provided with a security code which can be quoted to my Bank Manager and the Bank will be in a position to give a cheque of $7000 on the spot.  
The lady sounded quite confident and when asking if this is a scam - she even mentioned that she also has a family with kids and wouldn't stoop down to do such dirty jobs.  She was quite convincing.  I also tried checking with the bank if they have come across any such customers and the answer was NO.  If ATO has such one off payment plans, I am sure they will be sending out letters to the eligible recipients to advise.  The lady also mentioned that we can take it up with police and check the sanctity of this call.

Yes I got a call about an hour ago as well.It's a known scam and it has been traced to the exact same call centre that the people from "Windows" are from.

I told caller that his call seems to be fake. But he still asked me to call that no. in order me to claim that money. He told me his name as
