I answered their survey and was told I would get an MP4 player in 3 weeks. The 2nd call was to confirm my contact details to send it to me and was given the free raffle ticket. Was also invited for a small fee for membership to attend the function in Canberra for the raffle drawing on Monday Aug 2nd which I refused . This morning I received another call to say I had won 2nd prize - 400,000 Hong Kong dollars - and emailed me the form to claim my prize. Although there are no banking details requested I have become suspicious of a scam because of the yahoo email address.Two of my family are Queensland Police Officers and I will report to them if they call again.Lenney just called again on my landline this time and it showed as overseas call, yet she had given me a Canberra # to call her on when I had completed the form. Told her I was checking them out and believed it to be a scam. Undeterred she responded that these functions were to introduce her company to Australia and in the background I could hear another operator telling someone else of their wonderful win. That was crunch point and I told her I didn't want to claim my prize.She said that was my choice, mine and her company's loss and thanked me for my time.

I just got a call from this number, has been happening all week. From what I can tell it's from hong kong, sound just like the one Matt F describes

had a number of calls from (02) 6100 3922 , #1  casino questionaire    #2  was something about a raffle the noise in the background made hard to hear    #3  could not understand   #4  she rang my mobile could not understand   #5  she rang to say I had won 2nd prize of 400,000 hk money  I give her my email address  she sent an email with raffle ticket and claim form  I got suspisious       her name is Lenney      A / A  31/43 Greenway st Turner ACT 2612     LIGUAN  Group

It's a SCAM!!!!

I really got taken in by this mob.  Paid them money for a tax on the cheque that was in my husbands name.  I'm glad that most of you have seen it coming.  I had such huge misgivings, but we were poor enough to need it and to hope it could be true.  It was a Canberra number we were calling so I think it is interesting that it is now a queensland number from the same group.  After we had paid the tax, they then told us we didn't have membership and asked for more money.  That was when we called a halt to everything.  I hope no one else has been caught.  Also by that time, I had discovered this web site.  It only had a few names on it then.  I was talking to a lady named Sarah, but it was Noreen originally who told my husband he had won.  I don't want to report it because we both feel we were a bit stupid and in a way deserved it.  It's not like there aren't enough warnings.
