Sounds like spam. Message that ATO financial crime division. ATO tends to use snail mail and they have your current address if you have updated on MyGov!!! so I call BS.

people threatening legal action - absolute scam!

yes I have been called by this number three times now by a machine threatening all sorts of legal rubbish.

Caller: automated voice message accusing me of tax avoidance and imminent arrest!

A woman's voice on a digital recording claimed to be from the ATO Crime Section. Talked too quickly to catch all she said but I got "not submitted. Reminders retuned to ATO. Final notice returned. A warrant has been issued for your arrest. Your reference number is ...)". Too many numbers to remember and no pen. I believed it to be a scam but having moved recently to another state and my mail redirection with aus post not being very successful I called the ATO just in case. Definitely a scam and made an official report to them so they will be looking into it.

I called back number (02) 6100 3820 spoke to a guy but not say for what company.
