Caller: (02) 6100 3148 Some wanker from the Commonwealth Grants Commission in Canberra, asked for heaps of personal info, and as above posted wrote, already had my home address and sent an SMS with a claim number. Very elaborate. Smelt of scammers, so sent them off with multiple references to their mother and hung up.

Caller: Max Said he was from Commonwealth Grants Commission in Canberra and because I had a good credit rating and was on a pension I was going to get $7698 refund on GST and other taxes. He had all my details and sent a text with a claim number. When he asked for photo ID to claim the cheque I told him it was too good to be true and was a SCAM, and hung up. This was the number he gave me for the Grants Commission. He originally rang on a mobile - 0404 916 468. He had a foreign accent.
