Auto voice saying arrest warrent ... yesterday and today ... number now blocked

Automated message says there is an arrest warrant and press 1 to go to one of their officers but it’s very unclear. Also had the same message today from another mobile number 0480 023 493

Automated message with American accent saying this is a call from ATO audit department - I hung up immediately and didn't listen to the rest of the message.

ATO scam, dont give any details. tell them you will report this number they will hang up >:)

Caller: Peter Smith saying he was from the ATO office

The call started with a recorded message saying there was a warrant for my arrest put out by the ATO, I then stayed on the line to speak to someone who called himself Peter Smith.

He told me to take his name and gave me a batch number (417J2741) and said he had to read an affidavit for my arrest due to 4 charges made by the ATO of vocation of ATO Act 1956, vocation of ATO revenue court (or something like that).

I was told that the charges against me were $7998 but would be $97,711 once I went to court and 5 years in prison.

He asked if I understood the charges agains me, which I didn't, and when I asked to speak to a supervisor he put me on hold and then said a supervisor was unavailable.

When I asked him to tell me my TFN he said he couldn't give it out over the phone, and when I asked him to give me a different ATO number to call he said he couldn't give it on a recorded line either. An awful experience.

Recorded message claiming to be ATO and that an arrest was issued for me. Told to hold or press 1. I waited and an Indian man asked me rudely for my details. I asked who are you and said I don't believe you are legimitate and he hung up. There were many many phonecalls going on in the background. I feel sickened by these criminals. Where is the protection from government agencies to find these criminals and arrest them. They have to be stopped from terrorising the Australian public. What is being done? I could have had a stress response with dire health consequences or lost my composure in front of work colleagues had I not realised it was fake. As it was, i was still quite shaken to hear the words you are under arrest. I feel so sickened by these people preying on vulnerable people. They are scum.

girl in call centre as much background people talking.....most importantly, she wanted my accountant's name and phone number.....ato says that later a scam caller will ring you pretending to be your accountant....so that you will give more personal info....if this happens, just say "I will visit your office and talk face to face". the scam caller will be confused with this answer

Robot voice claiming to be from the ATO (australian Taxation Office) with a warrant in my name. Press 1 to speak - female accented voice - on being told that this was scam she kept trying to talk until hang up.

Apparently we're all crims with arrest warrants out. Nice American robot recording which I'm sure the Aus Feds would use LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
