stated that he was Jason O'Connor and cops would be coming to arrest me due to fraud, then stated whether we could settle the ATO account. Basically clicked on , and called him everything under the son, and that it must be a spam call from a call centre in &^%$, we started abusing each other , and this confirmed that it wasn't the ATO as no specifics where ever mentioned.

Watch out for this call and don't get sucked in. He obviously doesn't sound like a Jason O'Connor which gave it away in the first place

Jason Mc Connell (?) left a message on my phone telling me I was about to be arrested for tax evasion and left this number to ring back.

The M.O. has changed slightly, its now a digital voice purporting to be Brett Smith and to call them back. Lol

WOW he's still going. Left me a message that I needed to call urgently to the ATP tax crime division

Just got a call, answered it and recorded msg, Something about ATO. Just hung up before listening to the recording.

received voicemail stating that it was John Smith from the tax office. stupid scammers, with they would piss off.

I phoned ATO at their (to report a scam call number) on 1 800 008 540. It was confirmed to me that (02) 6064 2067 is not one of their numbers.

Same with me. I called back, had my baby screaming and through his accent I could barely make it something about tax. I called him on his bs and he advised me and hung up

I rang them back on a landline and they Answered 'Australian Taxation Office" I said what's your name........they hung!....SO I called again.....they must have recognised the number and hung up immediately again....f*cking chicken sh*t scammers

left message on mobile saying he was John Smith from ATO and if I didn't ring back he wished me good luck with the consequences

Got this call a couple of times last year from Jason O'Connell and always knew it was a scam, but today the same number just called me with a pre-recorded message from the "ATO" saying i will need to enter my personal details. They don't give up !

yep, American computer accent, same old threats if they don't hear from me or my attorney....

A robotic female voice left a message on my phone which said ... 'We want you to call us back on our Department's number... The issue is very time sensitive so before we take any legal action against your name call us as soon as possible.' No name left.
These people are scammers. I did not call back.
Beats me why telco providers and/or the police are unable to prevent and action these sorts of calls and have some of these low life scum charged with the relevant crime.

ATO and said his name was John Matt from ATO Tax Crime Division.

Automated message stating he was officer John Smith (how original) from the ATO tax crime division and to call him back on this number. Clearly a scam as the ATO don't even leave these types of messages. Don't get caught out by these fools.

Just recieved a call from (02) 6064 2067... Automated message. Claims to be from the ATO Fraud department.
His name was "Agent John Smith".

Recorded message claiming to be ATO. Call back and someone with Indian accent claims to be from ATO. Clearly a scam

He's gone automated: rec'd automated really bad female computer call, serious legal consequences, took me three times to understand it. A bad person doing a bad thing badly... pathetic scam
