Claimed that someone had filed a tax fraud complaint against me and that before anbarrest warrant was issued I should call them back. Threatening manner, recorded message.

Left a voicemail and claimed that a legal complaint has being made under my name for tax avoidance. And that they will take this matter to the Commonwealth Court and issue an arrest warrant if I do not call them back. He said he was from the Australian Taxation Office and his name is James Anderson.

Left a message claiming that they were from the ATO and threatened legal action against me for tax fraud/evasion. When called back, the caller asks for personal details to 'update their information'.

I got the same call from James Anderson. Definitely a scam. He should know that I have forwarded this information on to the taxation fraud department. Hope he gets caught soon with the rest of the low life's he works with. Scumbags

Spam/Scam - With so many complaints, I'm not sure why the number hasn't been investigated.

Just tell them to send you the warrant at the address they have on file, so you can wipe your ass with it and return to sender. Tell him also that you have friends in Anonymous and as such you already know where he lives, that you've notified his wife that he's cheating on her, and someone is coming to arrest him right now.

If you have to talk to clowns, at least make them perform for you.

first was a softbot generated voice, 2nd call was an Indian, stating that someone had filed a tax fraud complaint against me and a warrant was issued, required to call them back promptly. obvious scam but cant this be stopped.

I had a call this morning from this number for tax fraud , The person started off stating his name , badge number and TAX office ID number, it sounded all true till he started off saying I scammed the government for $7000 and within 45 min cops are coming to arrest me and summon me to court. While speaking to him I checked the number on google to find out about the scam. I told them to send the cops as I wanted to arrested the person was like " Ok sure be ready to face the consequences and your day at court" . These guys are so confident scamming people I am only worried about weak hearted people who will fall pray of this scam.

Sorry. I am a filipino, and it definitely was not a filipino accent. The message and threat they leave are not legitimate and are patently false. Definitely not the ATO.

I just got same rude Indian male message left. Why hasn't ATO or Aust police or "who ever" with authority acted on this to stop the sod????

My colleague rang them back and asked if this was the Aust Taxi Office, he said yes.
My colleague then asked if he could order a taxi?
They hung up!

SCAM Call

I received the call from James Anderson, on the 27th July from tel 60642041. I was told I committed a tax fraud and need to pay over 4k otherwise I will be issued with summon to face local court. This is definitely a tax fraud.

It's all well and good blocking that number but it's not going to solve anything, I had this issue three or four months ago and barring the number doesn't change anything, eventually they will contact you again the same way which I might add the Caller ID isn't a valid one, they use a random number generator to hide the actual address they are calling from.
