Kenneth Matthews from ATO LEGAL DEPT in Canberra left a message on our phone voicemail but didn't say the name of the person he's leaving a message for. IT'S DEFINITELY A SCAM AND WE SHOULD NOT BELIEVE THIS CALL BECAUSE I WORK IN ATO & WE DEALS WITH THE ACCOUNTANTS/AGENTS NOT THE PERSON ITSELF. STUPID KENNETH DONT SCARE PEOPLE YOU'RE SCAM MATE.

I received the same message from a "Kenneth Mathews" with an Indian accent, left on my V-mail yesterday .. it's nthe fourth time in over 12 mths these scamers have called and each time I call back & challenge them, which infuriates them & thry hang up. The first time it happened I checked with the ATO, they do not do things this way and they confirmed that they are vaware of these scammer's. One of the currenta ffairs show's have recently done a piece on these guys, they prey on vulnerable people. Don't get sucked in.

ATO phone scam. Rang my clients and said criminal case against them for tax evasion. Gave names of ATO officers of Alex Cooper and Roger Clark. DO NOT RESPOND TO THESE PEOPLE - ATO WOULD NOT THREATEN JAIL.

Tried to tell me I was wanted for tax evasion. I've never missed a lot of ax return in my life. Beware a friends mother believed them a lost a large sum of money

Received a call claiming to be from the ATO telling me to call them back due to "tax evasion" - scam. Called at ~2PM.

Received call from this number offering Australian Federal/State Government Solar Rebate. Persistent calls from both female & male "telemarketers" even though we're on the DNC Register. Usually call either between 11.30am ~ 1.00pm then alternately between 6.30~7.00pm. Absolute nuisance call and have been told numeraos times to remove details and to not call ... totally ignored
