Caller: Bogus Telstra / dialer program

These blasted scammers are really ticking me off, they're using a dialer program to randomly dial number and tell people they're from telstra and my internet will be cut off, I dont ring 1 now, which , is so bloody believable >_< Thank Goodness For BLOCK FEATURE on my phone works better thank peice of crap scam do not call service

Claimed to be from Telstra with a problem with my internet, said I didn't have internet but he had my name and address and the last time I was on the internet so I wasn't sure. He said if it wasn't me then he would cancel the internet service, so I was concerned. When I said no he said to get on the computer to solve issues so I hung up.

A man called from (02) 5879 6458, speaking with barely intelligible English in a thick accent like Indian or a similar idiotic burbling abomination. He claimed to be from Telstra and had called me because they detected a problem with my computer and my Telstra internet. Strange, I have no Telstra internet and no computer connected to the internet! He told me he wanted to talk to me about the problem with my computer and my Telstra internet but then said nothing. After some few seconds silence he asked if I was still there, I said yes. He then repeated (from his scammers script I suppose) exactly what he'd already said and again went silent for some few seconds. He then asked if I could hear hear him, I said yes. Again he repeated the exact same script and then went silent for some few seconds. He then said Hello, to which I said what do you want from me? At that point he promptly hung up! If he says he wants to talk to me, why doesn't he, or should I instead just volunteer information to an inept scammer like this one? I received a similar call to this the previous day, I think this scammer group appears to use a variety of numbers in the range 02587964xx, though I'm not entirely sure about that. WARNING: Do not give these telephone scammers any details whatsoever, not your name or adrdress or DOB or account or bank details... NOTHING!!!

And another number that didn't leave a message, so presume a scammer number!!
