answered, hung-up straight away , then when called back number does not exist

Caller: “Brown Solar”

Unsolicited call allegedly from “Brown Solar” claiming to qualify me for up to $4000 solar rebate. When questioned with which rebate that was (as there are multiple) he got upset and said “that’s all. I’m going now” and hung up.

Calling from a Sydney number but claimed he is in Melbourne. I’m also on Do Not Call register so they are not washing their phone numbers before calling.

Hung up right away when attended.

Called me today

Missed the call. Called back and got recorded message saying call couldn't be connected, but not regular operator recording, so I believe it's a fake announcement by the (probably) scammers to stop people calling back.

I tried calling back the number several times and it fails to connect with a voice prompt which says "the number called is not compatible with your equipment".

That's a furphy as there is nothing wrong with our equipment.

Scam. Claimed to call from Melbourne about solar rebate,

delay after pickup

Indian sounding guy claiming to be from the Aus Govt Solar rebate scheme. Had my name and asked if I had solar. Told him not interested and to remove me from the list. He told me to f... off. He then hung up.

Rang my mobile, I didn’t answer as I didn’t recognize the number and they didn’t leave a message. Most likely another scam caller.

Prick asked about solar rebate and if i have panels installed. when i asked who he works for he hung up on me.

Same as above. Rang back 30 seconds later. Advised number had been disconnected

I called back the number (02) 5550 7037 and reached vm but couldn't hear the company name

Called the number back to be told the number I have called is disconnected. Not sure how that works.
