Well, I did not call this number back after checking first on-line and thanks to you all I now know who the Company is that keeps calling from Port Macquarie. They call & don’t even leave a Voicemail. I have been receiving calls every 30mins and of course have even blocked this number, but for some reason they have still been able to try to call. Of course, I am like many of you. I am sick & tired of Charities & Companies calling, not leaving a message & so I block & do not call them back especially in this day & age where there are so many scams etc going on.

Caller: Hearing Australia I got a call from this number and, because I didn't recognise it, I let it go to Messagebank. When I listened to the message, it was from Hearing Australia and the person said my name then asked me to ring a 1800 number. When I rang it, I got a recording that Hearing Australia was closed and would reopen on 11 January 2021.

I recognised the number and didn't answer; as I know they'll try and arrange an appointment - so that they can charge me the $40 to $50 renewal fee. Last year, they promised me that I would not be charged a renewal fee and sent a letter to confirm it. When I turned up for the appointment they immediately demanded the renewal fee. When I showed them the letter saying I would not be charged, I was told it was a misunderstanding. I said the letter clearly showed that the renewal fee was $0.00. I was told they had put $0.00 on the letter as I hadn't paid yet!!!! What the!!!! I'll never go back there again. It took 15 minutes of argument before they let me go. Within weeks I was sent a renewal letter and membership card (at no charge). But the super dodgy treatment has warned me away from this organisation permanently. (Imagine getting bills from your Service Providers showing your account being $0.00 - because you hadn't paid yet!)
