Apparently it’s Australian Hearing confirming your appointment....however...they don’t leave a message to call back or to confirm the appointment.....please leave a message of who’s calling!

I have never had an appointment with Aust Hearing and do not live any where near their location. Don't know how they got my details. They are after membership fees.

I recognised the number and didn't answer; as I know they'll try and arrange an appointment - so that they can charge me the $40 to $50 renewal fee. Last year, they promised me that I would not be charged a renewal fee and sent a letter to confirm it. When I turned up for the appointment they immediately demanded the renewal fee. When I showed them the letter saying I would not be charged, I was told it was a misunderstanding. I said the letter clearly showed that the renewal fee was $0.00. I was told they had put $0.00 on the letter as I hadn't paid yet!!!! What the!!!! I'll never go back there again.
It took 15 minutes of argument before they let me go. Within weeks I was sent a renewal letter and membership card (at no charge). But the super dodgy treatment has warned me away from this organisation permanently. (Imagine getting bills from your Service Providers showing your account being $0.00 - because you hadn't paid yet!)

It is Australian Hearing, a government based hearing centre who regularly ring to confirm an appointment. If you get one and you are not a member, then answer or ring them and tell them they must have the wrong number and they will have to check the customers details.

I'm in Tassie, got calls from this number a few times over about 6 months. It traces to a charity, cold calling. I'm on the government's Do-Not-Call Register (www.donotcall.gov.au) but charities and politicians are exempt of course.
