Caller: purporting to be PayPal

This number phoned me, purporting to be PayPal, stating that 2 charges were lodged against my PayPal account without confirming who I was, or that the account they were saying was fraudulently accessed was even mine. I told him it sounded like a scam, because he was saying that he knew charges were against my account, but that he didn't even know who I was. Then he hung up.

Answered call from (02) 5303 1803 and after three bop sounds lost the connection. Rang back, and automated answer said it was Diamond Plaza, and was put on a waiting queue as the 3rd caller. After progressing in the queue, got to being the last caller in the queue and given a "one minute" wait time. Then call dropped out. Called again, and this time started as 5th caller. After progressing to 2nd caller, got another message for one minute wait time, but call dropped out again. The area code 02-53xx-xxxx would suggest the call came from the Bathurst/Orange area of NSW. Has definite markings of a scam call.

Pay Pal

Came up as potential fraud on my phone.

Automated message allegedly from Pay Pal saying I have an unauthorised transaction for $990. Clearly a scam call.
