A call from this number then a sms message which took 1 min before it spoke. Have 299.00 coming out of my account. Never done e bay. Scam

Called me 16th Dec, 12:12pm .. period of silence before 'Siri' voice-recording 'from Amazon' tells you your Credit Card is going to be debited for some random $200-300 purchase - HILARIOUS considering I haven't had a CC in years..... I hung up at 21secs bcus I've had this call before AND I was already aware of the Amazon Debit Scam...

Scammer using this number as a cover. Called claiming they were from commonwealth bank. Hung up when i said I don’t bank with them I know this is a scam 😂

Answered the call but they hung up without speaking.

Caller: Commonwealth Bank Scam Caller - Indian accent

Commonwealth Bank called, they must have a very poor interview process these days. the guy could barely speak english and definitely couldn't read his script - he stumbled and mumbled along trying to tell me that a $600 suspicious transaction was on my account. i was in the car and my son and i laughed so hard that i nearly had to pull over - i am not sure why but he hung up on us.

Just received one call from this number... didn't answer

Called me 3 times in two minutes. Call showed calling from Albury. I never answer calls that don’t leave a voicemail mail, definitely a scam.

I only answered as the number displayed as Albury. Operates tells me he’s from CommBank and someone has tried to deduct $580 from my account. Wanted me to type in showmyIP in my browser (which I didn’t of course). Was getting really angry with me as I was playing along and then got bored of the BS… I feel so sorry for people who actually fall for these scams 😔

I didn’t bother answering this one. Apparently it’s an Albury number, but who knows? I’d be very surprised if anyone I know rang me from there.

Same, from commonwealth bank. I said I am not customer of this bank. then she said your bank transferred money to commonwealth bank. I asked what is my bank, she said ANZ, scammer.

Claimed to be from Vodafone offering me a discount of 40%

The caller rang December 16th 2022 around lunchtime AEST without leaving a message and note Reverse Australia have logged numerous recent reports of phishing scams against this number.
It appears these scammers are looking for some undeserved Christmas cheer from the unwary.
Best to ignore, delete, block and report this unsafe number to Santa.

I Never answer calls I don't know.A lot are reverse call scams so when you call back they keep you waiting but your actually paying for the call. Always Google search the number first.
